Ray Gilbride has been on the water since he was 5 years old. It started with his parents on the Columbia River. Since then Ray has owned many boats from commercial fishing boats to pleasure boats. Ray has always opened his heart to people and for many years has used his boats to bring joy to other people. After the loss of his mother Liana Evans to cancer, Ray was moved to again put his knowledge and love of the sea to use helping others. In honor the memory of his mother Liana Evans, the Cruise Through Cancer Foundation was started. Starting with just Ray, an idea and his boat, this foundation has been blessed; now having 72 boats, three airplanes, three motor homes and two camp sites to draw from in the first four months. Ray is committed to growing the foundation around the world. Ray’s motto is “Wherever cancer is found we will be there giving the gift of memories”.
